The acculturation is the processes by which societies of different cultures are modified through fairly close and long-continued contact, but do not blend with another. It is usually a two-way process. On society borrows from the culture of the other without losing it identity. For instance, in the contact the Filipinos and the Chinese, there has been reciprocal borrowing from the Spanish, English, Indian, Chinese, Latin, and other languages. Therefore, acculturation does not imply the loss of the older culture but merely the acquisition of some new trait from another culture.

The process of acculturation is facilitated by contacts of any type, especially when the contact occurs under terms in which the new trait has been given a favorable status. In the Philippines, there has been fast and great acculturation in terms of the religious system. This can be attributed to the effective approaches adopted by the missionaries, particularly in the rural areas.

They have different ways of attacking their victims. The dodder is a plant thief and this is how it attacks. The dodder is a plant that has a tangle of yellow threads. In season, these yellow threads may be seen to bear many clusters of white flowers which in time form of numerous small seed.
